Gladys Nunery
School
Gladys Cannon Nunery School is a three-story, 66,180 square foot building built in 1901. Spaces include classrooms, gymnasium, auditorium, offices, library, kitchen, corridors, stairs, restrooms, and storage rooms. Building systems have been partially upgraded over the years. Facility lighting consists mostly of linear LED tubes. The building is 100% heated by two old, oil-fired steam boiler that are in poor condition. The building is partially cooled by window air conditioning units. The building has a gas meter with a reported 6 Therms gas usage; however, we could not identify any natural gas consuming equipment on site. Facility concerns include the steam heating system consisting of oversized boilers built in 1951 and 1961, steam traps, and radiators that are in poor condition.

Energy Conservation Measures
Below is a brief description of each of the 5 ECMs

District-Wide Energy Management System
Plug Load Controls

Building Envelope
Replace existing pneumatic controls with new open-protocol controls
Improve comfort and reduce infiltration

Water Conservation
Pipe Insulation
Improve existing pipe insulation to prevent heat loss and save energy
