Franklin L. Williams Middle School is a three-story, 163,855 square foot building built in 2009. Spaces include classrooms, offices, conference rooms, gymnasiums, locker rooms, auditorium, cafeteria, kitchen, corridors, stairwells, restrooms, storage rooms, and electrical and mechanical space. Lighting is provided mainly by linear fluorescent T8 and LED fixtures. One water-cooled chiller and two hot water boilers provide cooling and heating to spaces. There are eight air handling units (AHU), each serving a different area of the building. The building has one diesel generator to provide emergency backup electricity. There is one passenger elevator in the building.
